TEIP TRIO and Sonic Transmissions Records withdraw their catalogue from Spotify

Together with our label, Sonic Transmissions Records, we have decided to withdraw all our releases from Spotify. Read the full statement from the label below:

Sonic Transmissions Records withdraws its entire catalog from Spotify following a reassessment of the platform’s economic, ethical, and structural conditions.

Spotify’s payment model does not provide meaningful support for independent labels and artists operating outside commercial mainstream genres.

Additionally, the platform has hosted advertising connected to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Given terrible recent events involving ICE, we find ongoing association with such institutions incompatible with our values.

Finally, Spotify’s growing reliance on unlabeled AI-generated releases and “ghost artist” content raises serious concerns around the long-term sustainability of human-driven music.

Our releases remain available through Bandcamp and other platforms that better support independent artistic production and in connection to this we are very excited to announce our new collaboration with our friends at Tigernet.no
